About the Author
Edwin L. Miller Jr (Boston, MA) is a partner with Sullivan & Worcester. He has practiced corporate and securities law for over 30 years. He has represented both issuers and underwriters in numerous IPOs, secondary stock offerings, and other public market transactions. In addition, he has organized a number of private equity/venture capital funds that has represented venture capital firms and technology companies in venture financings throughout his time in practice. Miller also concentrates on the representation of emerging technology companies in their financing, technology transfer, and acquisition activities. He has extensive M&A experience in both the public markets and in private transactions representing both acquirers and sellers. He has written numerous articles and a five-volume book series, The Lifecycle of a Technology Company. Miller is a frequent lecturer at continuing legal education seminars as well as teaches two courses at Boston University School of Law.
