Abbas Ali Mirza, CPA, ACA, AICWA, is a partner with Deloitte & Touche, Dubai, UAE, and on the firm’s regional Assurance and Advisory committee. He is a frequent speaker and workshop leader and widely published in international accounting journals. Mirza is Chairman of the Standards Committee of the UAE’s official Accountants’ and Auditors’ Association. Graham J. Holt, Principle Lecturer of Accounting and Finance, Manchester Metropolitan University Business School, is co author of an IFRS text, contributor to academic publications and author of professional journal papers. Magnus Orrell  is a senior manager in Deloitte’s accounting research department and its IFRS Centre of Excellence for the Americas in Wilton,CT.
