About the Book and Topic:
Dow Theory for the 21st Century includes everything that the serious investor needs to know about the stock market and how to become financially successful. Expanding upon Charles Dow’s 20th century stock market theory, author Jack Schannep provides readers with a better understanding of the ingredients that make up the world of finance, specifically the American stock market, in order to help them achieve investment success. Chapter topics range from the historical background of Charles Dow to the technical application of the Dow Theory to a discussion of other important market trend indicators. The author’s own “Schannep Timing Indicator,” a system tracked by Hulbert’s and Zacks, is also introduced.
The Dow Theory, often called the “Grandfather of Technical Analysis,” is a stock market major trend timing indicator originally developed by Charles Dow over 100 years ago. Today, the Dow Theory has a following throughout the investment community that includes both professionals and the public at large. Dow Theory for the 21st Century will prove an invaluable resource to that following, as well as anyone else who is concerned with understanding the stock market (either as a student of the market or as an investor in search of an edge).
