Structured finance and securitization deals are now commonplace on Wall Street. Up until know, however, market participants have had to create their own models to analyze these deals, and new entrants have had to learn as they go. Allman provides them with a ready-to-use cashflow model for modeling the cashflows of such deals and analyzing them.
Hot Topic. Structured Finance is a hot topic on Wall Street right now. In 2004 there were at least 40 top banks active in the market, all of which require in-house training of new analysts and associates. In addition, companies, like Countrywide, GMAC, and SallieMae, all access the capital markets for funding using structured finance. Real-World Knowledge. The author is uniquely positioning this book so it appeals to both the financial professionals and the business students interested in financial engineering. While competitive titles appeal to only one group, this book focuses on both the program application and the finance theory. Accompanying companion website with exercises. The author will include a companion website that will feature the modeling exercises and a complete version of the model that will be created.
