About the Book and Topic:
Create Your Own Hedge Fund is intended for sophisticated individual investors and for those professional investors, traders, and other money managers looking to update their arsenal of investment tools. The book explains how ETFs can be used in conjunction with an options strategy to attain steady growth. Beginning with a tutorial on options and ETFs, the book goes on to describe both investment approaches in great detail providing readers with a trading strategy that works more often than buy and hold investing and a practical simple method of reducing risk by diversification.
Options are a risk reducing approach where investors make a profit more often as opposed to going in for a big killing. As such, options provide a perfect mechanism for reducing the risk of owning another investment. Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) perform just like index mutual funds, but are traded on an exchange throughout the trading day. With ETFs, traders have the ability to buy or sell short on a margin, and ETFs provide tax benefits that mutual funds cant offer. Combining the best aspects of ETFs and options into one coherent strategy results in a trading approach that can be used in all market environments, enhancing the safety of the investors portfolio (losses are both less frequent and smaller) and the likelihood that the portfolio will be profitable.
UNIQUE APPROACH: Wolfinger combines trading strategies from options trading and exchange traded funds (ETFs) that result in a trading approach that can be used in both bull and bear markets to enhance the safety of the investor’s portfolio. POPULAR AUTHOR: Wolfinger is well known in trading circles as an educator and speaker. He is the author of an introductory trading book, The Short Book on Options, that has been very well reviewed by the press and customers. WEISS RESEARCH: Weiss Research, managed by bestselling Wiley author, Martin Weiss, is eager for Wolfinger to do this book.
