A financial model is a quantitative representation of a company’s past, present, and future business operations. Companies of all types and sizes use financial models every day to analyze and plan their business operations, and to create such standard financial accounting reports as the Balance Sheet, the Income Statement, and the Statement of Cash Flows. However, while many businesspeople are familiar with these standard financial reports (the output of the financial model), they are less familiar with the creation of the financial model itself. This book will teach these business professions how to build an accurate and effective financial model from the ground up, using the solid functionality and usability of Excel.
